Our Resident artist Glyn Pooley & other artists:-
The artists and makers of Canonhill Artspace studios are opening their doors to reveal their unique working environments. There will be chance to meet the artists and discuss their work in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Featured artists include Tony Alcock, Louise Tucker and Glyn Pooley plus other guest artists. The artwork on show will range from beautifully rendered large scale environmental influenced pieces in watercolour and acrylic, stunning hand- woven lampshades in wicker and wood and probably the largest non-digital artwork created on consecutive days focused on Peace in the world today. Joy in the Presence, A Path in Peace began on January 1st 2015 and a new artwork has been created and added to it every day since that date.
Further information can be found on the artists’ socials - Facebook, Instagram and at www.glynpooley.com

Art Foundation Year Arts Academy - End of Year Exhibition
Our Treasurer Rachel Collis will have her work on exhibition at the CAVC Arts Academy, Trade Street, Cardiff CF10 5DT from the 3rd to the 10th June 2026 (see poster).
Congratulations Rachel on completing your course!
We are thrilled to announce that our 'Mexican Squares' artwork - created by our members has been accepted by the Mexican Embassy's Day of the Dead 2025 Exhibition in London.
Our artwork is a collaborative piece. Members each painted a (21cm x 21cm) square piece inspired by both their own perception and experiences of Mexico, and a 'History of Art' talk on Mexico by our resident artist Glyn Pooley.
Each artist was free to interpret the resonance of their experiences and what they had learned around the symbols and power of Mexican culture.
The piece has also been exhibited at the Turner House Gallery, Penarth.
Dinas Powys Art Festival 2025: A Celebration of Art, Community and Cake
The Dinas Powys Art Group's third annual Art Festival is taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2025, from 10am to 4pm each day. This vibrant weekend is packed with something for everyone — from art enthusiasts to families looking for an entertaining day out.
Annual Exhibition – Over 150 Original Works
The main focus is our much-loved Annual Exhibition at the Parish Hall (Britway Road, CF64 4AF), which features over 150 original artworks all created by members of the Dinas Powys Art Group. We will also be showcasing decorative gift boxes crafted from original artworks, available for purchase with proceeds going to charity. First-time visitors and our loyal supporters will be impressed by the incredible variety and quality of work being produced in the Vale.
Take Part in Art – Community Bunting Project
This year's free interactive art project will take place in the Village Square. From complete beginners to seasoned artists, you are all invited to help create a vibrant display of hand-painted bunting. We can't wait to see how much we can create together!
Live Art in the Square
Our talented local artists will also be at work in the square painting scenes inspired by the village. Stop by to chat, ask questions, or simply be inspired to pick up a paintbrush yourself.
Join us for a weekend of creativity, community, and cake: a perfect way to spend a few leisurely hours with friends and family while supporting two great causes Dinas Powys Voluntary Concern and Brain Tumour Support.
